The Houston Airport System

BEPC has worked on multiple projects for the City of Houston at their local airports including Ellington Airport, Bush International Airport, and William P. Hobby Airport. Each airport has had BEPC teams work on different parts of their operations to make sure they are creating a safe environment for visitors and staff.

At Bush International Airport, BEPC was able to work on a major water leak that was flooding runways with over 10 million gallons of water, causing the runways to collapse. The leak source was in the chilled water piping from one of the massive A/C units in the airport.

During this $18 million dollar project, BEPC was able to work with the Comfort System USA to reroute the leak so no more major damage was done. BEPC repaired the piping and installed the lighting and cable systems above the pipes. BEPC was awarded Best Project by the city of Houston and the Houston Airport System for staying on time and under budget.

After repairing the first chill water pipe, the Houston Airport System brought BEPC back to tie in all piping for Terminal B and to work on their electrical systems and rewiring for mechanical rooms and entire terminals. BEPC providing upgrades to low-voltage systems, Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), valve insulation repairs, and other electrical and mechanical services.

One portion of BEPC’s electrical repairs for the Houston Intercontinental Airport a WIFI expansion. BEPC installed a new WIFI network for the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) building, a highly secure area within the airport.

In addition to the above projects, BEPC was awarded a 5 year contract with the Houston Airport System for operational and maintenance services for Bush International, Ellington Field, and William P. Hobby airports.
